Either technical or knowledgable super-users will continue to be relied upon to setup, maintain, and interpret document flows. KEW will fall behind and look basic in comparison to other workflow tools that provide a rich, enduser friendly, interface. Trial and error of creating or maintaing routing rules will continue to be the norm without visibility of what particular changes will incurr

      Description

In order to provide a more accurate estimate for KRRM-124 we need to do some research into how the GUI tool for this will be built. See the comments on KRRM-124 for more information.

Summary of Work Involved: KEW requires a fairly technically minded person to understand, update, and maintain the various parts necessary for successful function. While this works for now, empowering a wider range of users allows those closer to the business functions to update and maintain some functions of workflow. A graphic user interface would allow, at some level, for this to happen. In the past the KNS was fairly limited in what we would be able to accomplish, but with the new toolsets we have in KRAD this should be more feasible. With this task, we'd need to define what parts of KEW need new or updated user interfaces as well as how they should function.

Eric notes that draw2d.org HTML 5 Canvas option to create a Workflow graphical tool could be something to look at in this regard.
