    • Functional Justification :
KSB user interfaces provide a different user experience from the rest of Rice because they are manually coded outside of the KRAD framework. Admittedly, the KSB screen are only used by administrative users up to this point.

I think the comments regarding keeping the KSB UIs simple to allow them to be embeddable easily in client applications are appropriate. I think the important thing here would be to allow these UI pieces to be easily embeddable in client applications still, even if they require some additional Rice jars that need to be included to make that possible. Some more research would need to be done here on what the implications are, but the modularity efforts in Rice 2.0 should help this.

          Scott,

You had mentioned that you were interested in keeping the KSB UI as a JSP pages. Could you elaborate on this?

          Thanks!

KS Comment - We'd like to keep the non KNS interfaces (screens) kept so that KSB-only client applications can see the KSB. We do not want to see them all converted, but OK to add new KNS interfaces.

Can this one be "retired"? Sounds like clarification was added that shows requirment to NOT convert the KSB user interfaces to KNS. And KNS may be retired/replaced by KRAD.

This one should be renamed "Convert the KSB User Interfaces to use KRAD" now

In fact, going ahead and updating the summary to indicate KNS instead of KRAD.
