No, the data will be localized by users in a specific implementation. We do need the labels, so I'm glad to hear we are moving in that direction. We also need to have currency and dates be sensitive to locales.

Good point. We do have the ability to localize date formats to some extent as date and time formats can be configured externally (though there is no way to bind the configuration to certain locales, but for the majority of cases the current externalization would probably be ok). Currency is definately one that would need to be addressed. We have a small amount of support for concepts of currency in rice right now I believe (mainly what we call our "KualiDecimal") but would probably be good to have a discussion across the projects on the best way to handle currency from an i18n perspective and build support into the appropriate part of the Rice framework (currently this stuff is part of the rice "core" and KNS/KRAD) that all projects can leverage in a consistent way.

We've done some work for KSAP that we feel might be appropriate for KS (and others). We've only just done the development, so aren't much past the proof-of-concept stage.

It may be more appropriate for someone else to champion this one, but I don't want it to go champion-less so assignment myself for now.
