Currently in krad.lookup.js, the return value on lookups is being handled by attempting to get a reference to the parent window, going through easyxdm iframes if necessary.

The first problem is the cross domain lookups will only work within the portal, since that is where easyxdm is being included (and we have dependencies all over krad for something that is not included by default).

The second thing is going through the iframe is not really ideal. That is a particular mechanism easyxdm uses in some cases. I would recommend we drop this library and just use postMessage since it is supported by all the browser versions we have to support.

The other thing with lookup/inquiry is there is still cleanup needed for the lightbox - modal conversion. Some of the lookup code is still calling lightbox close and other checks.
