      The KIMConfigurer class needs an option that tells it whether to run KIM in a local or remote mode. This will require splitting up the Spring configuration files into two. One which will be used by all instances, and one which will only be used by a server which is running KIM locally (as in a Rice standalone server or KFS running with KIM embedded.)

      Ensure KIM has its own data source and the ability to customize it separately from the main rice datasource.
