    • Rice Module:
      KSB, KEW

      Description

During the extract of the KSB from KEW, the RouteQueueAction and RouteQueueForm were moved into the bus component of rice-commons. The JSP pages were left behind in KEW but are blowing up now because the code in the action and form have been commented out.

We need to resurrect these screens and get them working again. For the meantime (to avoid the need to distribute a web module with the bus) let's keep these JSP pages in the KEW application. I think we can probably keep the action and form in the KSB (it will be dependent on services there anyway) but if we need to move those back to KEW we can as well.

Andrew, to make changes in rice-commons you will need to check out the rice-commons-0-9-snapshot-br branch of rice-commons. The RouteQueueAction and Form are in bus/src/main/java/edu/iu/uis/eden/messaging/web

The branch of workflow you will need to work on is prd-2-4-1-br

You will need to install maven 2 in order to build the rice-commons jars (there's an eclipse plugin you will need to get as well, but I always build from the command line).

Once you have maven installed, you can cd into the "bus" directory and type the following at the command line to build the bus jar:

            mvn -Dmaven.test.skip=true install

Then to copy that jar into workflow, run the "update-rice" Ant target (all of this will become easier once we get kew on maven as well)

Hi Andrew, I wanted to see if there was any update on this. There have been a few changes since this JIRA was originally created (i.e. no more rice-commons project). Let me know if you want to chat about anything or if you don't have time for this I can work on it. Thanks!

Yeah, the rice-commons -> rice was no problem. I'm working on it today, will let you know if I run into any problems. Ended up stuck for a day troubleshooting what was (I believe) an older version of an institutional plugin still in my system that was causing problems. If I dont think I'll be able to get this done (and the other associated 2) by the end of the week, I'll let you know.

The main route queue screen is now fully functional.

There is still a problem with the View Payload functionality, not worked out yet.

The performance issue on large data sets is not resolved yet.

The route queue screens are back now as a struts module for KSB. Still more features to add, However that is essentially what KULRICE-538 is meant to address.
