Saurabh, can you run this sql in kr-snd? Please create a separate file in our project to track this as the scripts for Sunday's upgrade are frozen so we will need to track any new stuff separately. Thanks.

poonam - i assume you intend to use the permission and role documents to do this yourself in the tesn environments we are using - kr-reg, and kr-stg?

eric, since your release script is frozen, would you prefer that we just do this via the docs in production. damon can handle as needed on or after 5/22. lmk

I think doing it using the production documents is fine. I would suggest doing it that way in test first to make sure everything works as it should.

        Thanks,
        Eric

yup i'll let poonam do that in reg and stg as our tester. and when doing that she can put together instructions / create a jira for damon to do it in production on or after 5/22. thanks!

I tried creating a permission through the permission document in reg. Got the following validation error for the permission name "Upload Batch Input File(s)":
The Permission Name (Permission Name) may only consist of letters, digits, spaces, or tabs.

Should I create a jira for the permission document to allow other characters as well? What is the permissible set of characters for permission names?

i think the validation pattern on the name allows for A-Za-z0-9 with spaces and underscore, perhaps I can add support for '(' and ')'.

This sounds like a data dictionary issue to me. Poonam, I would say yes go ahead and create a separate issue for this. I don't think there is reason that the permission names shouldn't be able to support parens. The "Upload Batch Input File(s)", is that an IU specific permission or one delivered with KFS?

Upload Batch Input File(s) is KFS delivered. I think we also should include other characters like / and &. I see these characters in role names. In-fact there doesn't seem to be any such validation check on role names at all. Do we want to do the same for permission and responsibility names?
