      Description

I think there are two parts to this:

      1) Those services and tables which interact with the database directly and only query information
      2) Those services and tables which interact with the database directly but also update information

I'll attach an oracle proxy configuration that we use at IU which grants privileges to certain tables for rice client applications running embedded kew and/or embedded kim. I think this will help.

Reassigning to Jason as part of the version compatibility work. Jerry, do you have a partial list anywhere which has the work you've done so far on this?

The next step on this item after identifying where this is currently occurring, is determining where this direct database access can be replaces by properly remoted services.

There is a table, mostly compiled from Jerry and placed in to the document that shows all tables, service classes, and ORM mapped classes that Rice clients presently are using for direct JDBC shared database integration. It is in Table 2.10. "Non-Exported Services for JDBC in Embedded Mode"
