      Description

At Kuali Days this year we will be giving examples of the sample travel app running embedded with war overlays. We should have a travel app to reflect this.

      1. Crate the travel app with the groovy script to make sure it works.
ex: C:\>groovy createproject.groovy -name travel -rdir C:\Users\g\workspaces\rice\rice-1.0.3 -sampleapp -standalone
      2. Commit the "pure" project.
      3. update the pom with the overlay information and commit.
      4. remove the webapp dir and run the project with:
      mvn tomcat:run-war -Dmaven.test.skip=true

      Everything should work as before.

        Everything has been committed:

There's a problem with the overlay config vars being set to false. Causing the travel app to not show up. Everything else seems to be working.

Hey Garey, I keep meaning to ask you where we are with this. Is it done? Could you update?

For Kuali Days I'm going to just use an overlay with an bundled client. That's to get around the odd issue I was having with config vars not being picked up in the sample client when using overlays.

Creating a standalone travel app that uses overlays is no longer a priority. So this should probably be closed.
