      Description

A need has come up to add an Onclick event to the Active Flag field, but currently the framework only supports an onBlur event to be attached to a HTML element.

There is alternate solutions for this issue that don't involve changing our tag libraries. Since the KRAD work in rice 1.1 has the potential to change the rice tag libraries we would like you to use these other solutions.

The method of event registration that rice currently uses in it's tag libraries are called inline registration. This is a tried and true way to register event but is considered to be no longer the best model. There are alternative ways to register events that are more flexible and can be used by clients of our tag libraries.

Here is some decent documentation regarding javascipt event handling:

          http://www.quirksmode.org/js/events_tradmod.html

Let me know if you have any questions.
