The KNS supported a 'ranged' property on the field that would make a date field into two date fields, one specifying the
from date and the other the to date.

We need to add this either to LookupCriteriaAttributeField or AttributeField, then if set to the work of creating a field group in place of the field. The field group will contain the from/to fields.

Look into KNS for logic on how to adjust the labels, names, and so on.
