Gmaven is a maven plugin which enables joint compilation of mixed java/groovy projects. It generates stubs for joint compilation which can be slow and buggy. Also, Gmaven has been a dead project for around a year although has been recently resurrected. See It currently integrates with m2eclipse through the gmaven-m2eclipse integration

Greclipse is a maven plugin which enables joint compilation by leveraging the same compiler that eclipse uses. It is fast and stubless (which means less stub-gen bugs). It has been said that this will be the recommended way to joint compile java/groovy projects. It currently integrates with m2eclipse through a custom configuration (which could be a WIP still).
