                According to Jeremy, none of our current release documentation covers this subject at all. However, he pointed to this wiki page which addresses the issues, but which should be expanded and detailed in one of our release documents, or in a new document altogether. https://wiki.kuali.org/display/KULRICE/Rice+2.0+-+Compatibility+Refactoring+-+Caching+Infrastructure
