      Description

Moving forward with removing the iframe from the portal has been problematic. There is no real great solution for moving forward. We would like to see if any other portal implementations out there can shed some light.

What would be helpful is a list of open source portal implementations out there (or at least a few of the bigger ones that pop up) with:

      1) Do they have a tag navigation capability similar to the Rice portal.
      2) For links generated in the portal, do these open in a new window or current wrapped by the tabs? Do they use iframes or some other strategy?
      3) Any other general notes on merging pages from other sources
      4) General notes on features
