When a link or button is clicked that invokes client-side validation, the user is no longer notified with a popup that there are errors on the page, nor are they redirected to the page error summary. This has the effect of it looking like the button/link is doing nothing and the user is left wondering what happened (this problem is especially bad when the fields with errors are out of view).
