        William,

Would it be possible to get an example from KS for how this will be used? What I am wondering about is will the sub-navigation be a set of links that are configured, or will they be derived for some cases, and so on.

        thanks,
        Jerry

The sub-navigation will not be programmatically determined. The need here is to be able to configure each item in the breadcrumbs to be able to expose a hidden div the contents of which can/will be determined in a case-by-case basis.

        Example Breadcrumb String:
        Home > Enrollment > Course Offering > ENGL249

        Rationale:

        • For some items in the breadcrumbs, there are few "peer" pages (e.g. major modules of KS--enrollment, curriculum management, etc.), and showing a simple list of links to those pages will suffice. Again, it seems to me that these would be difficult to determine programmatically.
        • For some items in the breadcrumbs there are many peer pages, too many to display in a simple list actually (e.g. courses, or people), and a lookup widget of some sort may be needed (simple lookup, autosuggest, or combo box).
