From the KNS working group recommendation:

Screen Layout

Screens generated by the KNS adhere to a strict layout that has very little configuration. The alternative is for the developer to implement the JSP page like is done for transactional documents. It would be very beneficial to offer more flexibility in the system. This could help greatly with building non-business like applications. In addition would help with areas like transactional documents that currently take a lot of developer time.

We should look at edoc-lite and other tools like struts layout for design ideas.

isn't this work already happening with KRAD?

Comment by Jerry Neal (Inactive) [ 29/Jan/11 ]

That is correct, this work is being addressed in KRAD

Yes, the fix version is set to KR 1.1 since we will be delivering with KRAD in 1.1.

This work has been completed in the KRAD work so far. See the Milestone 1 deliverables at https://wiki.kuali.org/display/KULRICE/Rice+2.0+Milestones for the types of layouts available.
