Currently you can add new items to a collection via light box however you don't have the option to edit existing rows in the same manner.

Some collections may only show critical pieces of or summary data and not the whole extent of data related to that row. In these cases editing via inline edit will not be sufficient.

For consistency of how the users interacts and is presented the data being entered for the first time or edited after please allow for edits via the light box as well.

Tom Clark Chris Rodriguez Inline editing of rows in a collection - this request is to allow the editing to be provided in a lightbox. This is something I know we are working on in KC POC, so I want to make sure we are aware of this request.

We could use a lightbox model for ALL editing, if everyone feels like this is a better approach. Opening a lightbox takes longer than editing inline so if speed is of the essence, we should try to make inline editing work. We have three methods of editing content:
1. Edit button, turns container editable (this can be seen in our Proposal Development POC)
2. Edit button opens lightbox with editable content
3. Edit button turns visible rows editable.
