Currently searching by document description on custom doc search screens is case sensitive, the functional leads have requested this be case insensitive.

Hi Jerry:

It looks like a DD configuration issue. I can reproduce this on kfs-reg, but can not reproduce it on my local, trying customer doc search on my local KFS only give me the basic rice doc search screen, I guess it is about the KFS configuration, could you please point me a way to enable customer doc search on my local KFS?

You should not need to configure anything, there is no on/off flag for the custom doc searches. I don't know why the custom fields would not appear. Have you tried other custom doc searches? There is a channel on the KFS Main tab of custom doc searches.

I tried almost every link under "customer document searches" in main menu, and got the same basic rice search screen, do I need to inject some test data? I also got problems like:
"admin/quickstart is not authorized to do...", and I can not logged in as "khuntley" as I used to do

I have never ran into that. Maybe the doctypes need ingested. Try ingesting one of the custom search doc types which you can find in the document.workflow package for the module in the KFS project.

KFS Financial system doc description extends rice DocumentHeader-documentDescription, turning its forceUpperCase= false can generate case insensitive criteria( something like UPPER(EXT1.VAL) LIKE 'TEST'), then the search is case insentive
