We know that it works in Tomcat 5.5.x but I remember hearing that we had some problems with Tomcat 6 in the past. It would be good to get those figured out if they still exist.

Since you are testing the installation instructions, i think it will be good to have you test the standalone server in Tomcat 6. I think the main thing here is making sure it starts up and poking around a bit to make sure there are no JSP compilation or other errors.

built and tested 1-0-3 kr-dev.war in tomcat-6.0.18, ran through all links under "main menu" and "administration" tabs as well as "action List" and "doc search" , it looks fine, server start up is pretty fast, no broken page or jsp compilation errors in the log, did find a mysql related error, but it is not tomcat related, will report it in other jira.
I will keep testing it while running other tests in next couple of days.
I also set up rice-1.0.2 and KC2.0 in tomcat-6.0.18 on our unix server a couple of month ago, for rice, it has been good, for KC, we found a error related to mysql server setup, so we can say rice should be good with tomcat 6.

I ran more tests today and have seen no specific errors concerned in this issue for rice-1.0.3 running inside tomcat 6, I go ahead to close it
