This particular issue happens because for some reason the plugin does not ignore the ignore class when calling validation directly on inputs of this type. One potential fix is to remove the ignoreValid class temporarily then call valid and the add the class back on if it was originally for these particular types. Needs to be reproduced and tested in Kitchen Sink or other.
